Pilates can change how you move and feel in your body! It is an exercise method that targets the deep postural muscles, building strength from the inside out and helping to rebalance the body by bringing it into correct alignment. The exercises are designed to improve your posture and how you move in your everyday life. They are a balance between strength and flexibility, and it is a great way to relieve unwanted stress and tension.

I qualified with Body Control Pilates in August 2010 as a Level 3 Pilates Matwork Instructor. Every year I take extra courses and workshops as part of my continued professional development with Body Control Pilates and other teachers that are inspiring. I particularly enjoy all things anatomical and in 2019 I spent a week at the Icahnn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York on an ‘Functional Anatomy for Movement & Injuries’ course. Whilst in New York I also took the opportunity to visit a number of prominent Pilates studios and teachers which was both eye opening and inspirational.
